Edwardian Seventies Vintage Bridesmaid Dress

We have run out of stock for this item.

This really is an exquisite dress which was hand made in the 1970's and came to us from a lady's London attic purge. The dress is absolutely stunning on and would be wonderful for a special occasion or wedding.

The fabric of the skirt is a beautiful cotton weave with embroidered little freesia like flowers and is lined, with a row of little bows down the back. The top of the dress in soft power blue velvet is framed by beautiful cotton lace embroidery with ribbon running through it.

There are some faint marks on the velvet which I have photographed on the chest and puff sleeve, but these are quite faint and do not detract at all from the impact this beautiful dress has on. The dress has been dry cleaned and pieces of this age do sometimes have little marks, you can see from the pictures how fab this dress looks on and also see video footage of being worn within our Instagram page.

This is a rare on off piece that we have just one of.

Age 8-10 years depending on child.

Measurements laid flat to compare to a dress you have laid flat:

Shoulder to shoulder 28cms

Pit to pit 36cms

Waist 31cms

Length 110cms (the hemline  could be taken up and let down later on as the child grows).
